Dr. Chryssanthi Antoniadouis a post-doctorate degree member staff of the Biological Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, formerly external researcher collaborator, with a 12 year experience in the biology of benthic macroinvertevrates. Her scientific interests focuses on marine benthic ecology, with emphasis on biodiversity –dynamics, trends, protection, synergies with climate change-, marine ecosystem engineering –symbiotic relationships in marine invertebrates-, structure and distribution of benthic communities -specific marine habitats, such as corraligenous-, human impact on marine environment –biomonitoring, coastal management, ecosystem restoration, ecological quality assessment- and sustainable exploitation of marine invertebrate resources. She has contributed to 18 research projects (national responsible for Greece to the CIESM Tropical Signals project) and has published 39 articles in peer reviewed scientific journals and 4 chapters in peer reviewed scientific books. She is a member of the Hellenic Network on Aquatic Invasive Species and the Hellenic Biodiversity Network. She has also collaborated to the LargeNet project of the marine Biodiversity and Ecosystem Functioning (MarBef) Network of Excellence and the European Ocean Biogeographic System (EuroBis).
